Trade Practices of our supplier/producer:
They supporting and respecting the artists we buy from, doing business at local and fair market prices. They get to know each artist and supplier personally, establishing rapport and learning about the pieces they create before purchasing. They have been working with the same weavers since 1997 and have established a successful ongoing partnership that employs over 30 locals and their families
As the items are traded directly with the artisans there is not a Fair Trade certificate per se, however the trade conditions match those of certified programs. Our supplier (pre-covid19) travelled and purchased each item directly from the maker.
